The Accelerator is grateful to be a recipient of the Canada Healthy Communities Initiative Round 2 Funding for Creating Safe and Vibrant Public Spaces. Through this initiative, the Government of Canada, alongside Community Foundations of Canada, is building safer spaces and ensuring a higher quality of life for people across the country.
With the funds, The Accelerator intends to create a safe and vibrant community space using a portion of our parking lot to build an outdoor seating and coworking area as an extension of our indoor community space. The accessible space will be equipped with free WiFi, seating, and protective barriers from the parking lot. COVID-19 safety measures are an important aspect of this project to ensure both the community spaces and public washrooms are safe for the community’s use.
Please keep watch over the coming months for updates on the space and announcements of when the outdoor seating will be open to the public.
