Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. It takes focus, determination and a will to do things, go places and make sacrifices that others will not.

The 10 Commandments of Entrepreneurship were created one night in San Francisco when seasoned entrepreneurs reflected on their experiences.

For those new to the Accelerator, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Arthur Barbut and I am the CEO of the Accelerator. I started my journey at the Accelerator in March, 2012 and what an incredible journey it has been.

One of the great benefits I derive from working at the Accelerator is that I get to connect and work with amazing people. They inspire me and always push me to improve -my mission is to always do the same.

“It is literally true that you can succeed best and quickest by helping others to succeed.”
- Napoleon Hill

The Accelerator ecosystem is founded on collaboration and co-creation. In that spirit, the 10 Commandments list came from an inspired session with one of our founders Michael Hoppe when I visited Michael in San Francisco in 2019. One evening, following a day full of meet-ups, we took the opportunity to catch up and reflect on some of the most important lessons learned during our entrepreneurial journey. The Accelerator ‘10 Commandments’ were born from that conversation. The incredibly talented artist Asaph Maurer immortalized the words in the painting that greets all those who enter the Accelerator doors.

Over the upcoming months, I will share with you each of the 10 Commandments -what they mean to me, and how you can use these lessons to dramatically improve your entrepreneurial mindset and performance.
